PLEASE READ: IMPORTANT NOTES Mandatory Online Competitive Event Check-in: competitive event check-in will be electronic via the DLG registration site. Advisors must log in and respond for all of their entries within the designated 24 hour time period for state listed in the Texas FCCLA Competitive Event Guidelines. Failure to do so will result in the entries being marked as drops and the entries will be unable to compete.
Competitive Event Schedules: competitive events will begin on Friday of the State Leadership Conference. Tentative state schedules will be posted by the middle of March, however, entries should be prepared for their competition time to change on the final schedule (once dropped entries are removed). NO competition dates or times will be changed on request after the schedules are released, other than to account for dropped entries. Final schedules will be updated by the day before competition. In the event of a drop, ALL entries will be moved up. Competition times WILL change from the tentative to the final schedules. It is suggested that all participants be at the conference location by 9:00 a.m. on the day of competition in case their time gets moved up.
Volunteer Policy: Each chapter is required to provide (at minimum) one adult to serve as a volunteer during the conference. The volunteer can be a chapter advisor to serve as a Lead Consultant or another adult (not a chapter advisor) to serve as an Evaluator. Chapters who do not provide a volunteer or have a volunteer not show will be charged a fee of $150 and will be unable to participate with Texas FCCLA until paid.
